The Seattle Seahawks lost Thursday’s preseason matchup to the Chicago Bears, 27-11.
In doing so, rookie wide receiver Bo Melton saw 11 targets. Questionable quarterbacking dampened his production to four receptions and 18 yards. Still, the attention and potential for manufactured touches is enticing. Melton has carved out a role in the offense, albeit a small one. He offers athleticism underneath and with development can make some noise downfield.
You’ll probably have trouble finding odds on Melton to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, and for good reason. Instead, consider a more established target with the draft capital to earn a significant target share, like Chris Olave (+1000 on FanDuel).
