Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is back at the team’s training facility and is expected to be on the practice field for the first time during their offseason program when organized team activities resume on Wednesday, according to a league source. Murray has stayed away from the team during the offseason as he seeks a new long-term contract extension, but it’s a good sign that he’s joining the Cardinals before mandatory minicamp this month. Arizona remains adamant that the 24-year-old will be around long term, but it remains to be seen if the two sides will be able to work something out. As long as Murray remains under center in Arizona, he’ll be a high-end QB1, although No. 1 receiver DeAndre Hopkins’ suspension for a third of the 2022 season could make things more difficult for him.
