San Diego Padres right-hander Mike Clevinger is expected to start against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday. Clevinger was activated from the COVID IL last week and tossed two innings in relief on Friday. The 31-year-old will be taking the spot of Joe Musgrove who is on the COVID IL and will apparently not be ready to return to the rotation on Wednesday. Clevinger has a 1-0 record, 3.79 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 22 strikeouts over 19 innings of work spanning five appearances in 2022. Fantasy gamers rostering Clevinger should plan on getting the hurler into their starting lineups Wednesday.
