The Tennessee Titans first unofficial depth chart of training camp is out, but this is your reminder to not put a lot of stock in this. Rookie wide receiver Treylon Burks is listed as a second-teamer on the chart, which is about as much evidence as we need to know these don’t mean much of anything.
Listed ahead of Burks is Robert Woods and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, but rookies are typically placed further down the depth chart as a way to encourage and promote competition. Burks did have conditioning issues due to asthma in offseason workouts and is still working through the rookie learning curve in training camp.
However, we should expect that the young receiver will play a large role for the Titans offense, especially since they traded away A.J. Brown to draft him. Burks may not have immediate impact, but he should still be considered a rookie worth drafting in fantasy, although there should be a wait-and-see approach to any potential season long futures bets. Regardless, maybe you can use these unofficial depth charts as a way to get Burks at a better value later on in drafts.
