Kyrie Irving Plays Like His Personality
Yeah, you've heard of Kyrie Irving. Great basketball player turned absolute weirdo. The whole nine yards.
First he wanted out of playing next to LeBron James and the perennial Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers. Then we learned that he was a flat Earther. His dangerous coronavirus rhetoric took him out of half of Brooklyn's games.
It shouldn't surprise you, then, that his style of play is far from conventional. Irving is great, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't always look how you'd expect. He'll take an open layup and turn it into an (often successful) circus event. Why chest pass when you can end up on Sports Center?
Irving plays basketball like he's bored of the sport. It's too easy and needs side quests to remain interesting so someone so talented. Maybe immense boredom led him down the paths of conspiracy, too.
