Time Lord Robert Williams
If you know anything about Robert Williams III, it's probably about his incredible defensive prowess and invaluable role in the Boston Celtics' championship-caliber starting unit. His paint defense is a power in itself, but are you aware of his rumored super powers?
Celtics Twitter gave Williams a grand name upon his introduction...kind of. In 2018, Boston drafted Williams with the 27th overall pick. Whether it be a rookie mistake, too much celebration (just ask Paul George), or a sabotaging alarm clock, Williams overslept. He missed both his introductory conference call and flight to Boston.
Big market teams have the tendency to eat their young alive, culminating in insurmountable pressure and a severe lack of forgiveness. However, Celtics fans gave Williams a pass.
They nicknamed him Time Lord, in reference to his incredible ability to be punctual. It's yet to be seen whether some new powers come with the name, but Williams' ability to take a joke is a path to stardom in itself.
