Derrick Henry May Not Play Until Week 1

Derrick Henry is one of the league’s best backs. Ensuring that remains the case is paramount for the Tennessee Titans.

The ultimate workhorse, Henry ran the ball 219 times in just eight games last year. He led the NFL in carries in the two years prior with 303 and 378 in 2019 and 2022, respectively.

Henry suffered a foot fracture that cost him half of his 2021. If it is a sign of things to come, Tennessee must be very cautious with perhaps their most important asset.

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel does not anticipate Henry seeing any preseason action. Still, most expect Tennessee to lean on Henry come Week 1. FanDuel supports this notion, offering the second-best odds for Henry to lead the league in rushing yards (+650).
