THE EDWARDS-HELAIRE FILE
LSU National Champion, 2019
First-team All-SEC, 2019
First round pick, No. 32, 2020

We are not in the habit of finding sponsors for professional athletes but this one seems like such a no-brainer we’re going for it.
State Farm Insurance need to add Clyde Edwards-Helaire to its posse of pitchmen. The Chiefs running back has carried the ball 300 times in his NFL career and lost two fumbles. He had 438 touches at LSU and lost one fumble. We’ll do the math: That’s 738 carries and just three lost fumbles.
Surely the Good Hands People would want to have a chat with the former No.1 pick.
The only knock on Edwards-Helaire is staying healthy. After the Chiefs won the Super Bowl, they used the last pick in the first round on the 5-foot-7, 207-pound rusher/receiver. He’s missed 10 games in his first seasons. If Edwards-Helaire can stay on the field, he could turn out to be quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ best neighbor now that Tyreek Hill is in Miami.
