There’s big and then there’s BIG.
In a league full of big, powerful men, Jordan Davis stands out, towers out.
The rookie defensive tackle from Georgia is listed at 6-foot-6, 336 pounds. The Eagles couldn’t miss him so they took him with the 13th pick in 2021 NFL Draft. He joins a line that includes Fletcher Cox (6-4, 310) and Javon Hargrave (6-2, 305).
Essentially the Eagles have issued a challenged to the NFL East: Just trying running the ball on us. Even his teammates are impressed.
“Whenever you see a guy who’s got bug’s eyes, his senses are on alert, right?” said Hargrave. “He’s taking everything in. That tells me that he’s willing to grow and he’s trying to improve his craft. Those are the guys, when you combine that with the physical skillset he has, it’s very good to see.”
"[He] has been a menace so far."
Here’s why Davis has a chance to be one of the most dominant defensive lineman ever. He’s not just big. Davis is one of just three players weighing more than 330 pounds to run the 40 in less than five seconds.
"[He] has been a menace so far," said Hargrave.
